One example was 'day-printer' - still in development.
It records as a textile-print all variations of light intensities and any inputs happening on the printer´s surface, during one day. The textile or paper, is soaked with a special blueprint-emulsion and placed in a dark compartment of the printer. Then the process works similar to a scanner.
Changes of the sun’s intensity become visible as striations. Anything that happens to be on top of the scanner results in white parts or lighter blue distortions.
The outcome is a record of one day at one spot. ->
